In the heart of the Ozark Mountains near Branson, MO, on the banks of the James River, among the sounds of chirping birds and the whisper of the wind blowing through the trees, we welcome you to Shoalnook.
Shoalnook has a little something for everyone! If you’re an individual, couple or a family looking for fun and relaxation, this is your place. Maybe you’re needing a place for a group for a family reunion, or a retreat. All four cabins and The Shoalnook House could be rented at once, sleeping up to 32 people.
James River has long been known for its waters teeming with fish; 71 varieties, give or take a few. Smallmouth, largemouth, white bass, crappie, channel cat, and walleye are in abundance. Spoonbill run up the river in March and white bass from late-March to mid-April.
We offer daily kayak rentals and there are a number of canoe rental businesses within blocks of the cabins.

With a full futon downstairs and one full bed with two twin beds in the upstairs loft, Cabin 1 sleeps up to 6. It's fully furnished with a kitchen and a gas fireplace. This cabin also has a ramp, covered porch with ceiling fans, and a charcoal grill.
The Nest (Cabin 2)
This cabin sleeps 6 with twin and full beds both downstairs and up. Wifi signal strongest in this cabin.
The Angler (Cabin 3)
This cabin sleeps 6 with a full futon downstairs, a full bed and two twins upstairs. Gas fireplace.
The Den (Cabin 4)
This cabin sleeps 6 with a queen futon and twin bed downstairs and full and twin beds upstairs. This cabin also features a pub table with 4 stools on its porch.
